Carbon Film Resistors
This is the most general purpose, cheap resistor. Power ratings of 1/2W, 1/4W and 1/8W are frequently used. Usually the tolerance of the resistance value is ±5%.
This type of resistors may couse electrically noisy. this is a disadvantage. the Metal film resistors are used in analog circuits. The size of the some different examples are shown in below
